Never mind the heading of this article. It is not meant to offend you. The point I am trying to make is that if you are operating a business from home and you are not making enough money to go out and have a real fancy meal at least once a month, there is a problem and that problem can be fixed. In this article, I hope to point you in a direction that could bring profound changes to your financial situation.

Eating out in style is not a necessity, just a measure of your success in any venture you undertake. After all, part of the reason we do spend money, time, and effort to build a home based business, or any brick and mortar business for that matter, is to treat ourselves to some of the finer things of life, even if we cannot do that all the time.

Your business at home must be successful, if you are to afford a day spa, a great vacation, a better car, or a fine diner ever week. So what is it that we need to do to take care of business, and reap incrementally better rewards? I believe there are many things we can do. One of the most important however, is the type of business we eventually start. Some business models or professions have built-in limits beyond which we may not easily go. I believe that it is impossible to become independently wealthy operating a plumbing business by yourself.

If plumbing is your thing, you will only get wealthy from it when you are able to leverage other people's time and efforts. In other words you have to have a plumbing business which can grow into a huge plumbing business if your vehicle to financial success is the plumbing profession. You could also open

and Internet based, plumbing school and teach thousands of people worldwide how to do plumbing. There's an idea for you.

The same thing is true really, when you think of it, for any type of business you care to start. So this brings us to my key point. The most important principle you can take away from this is the idea of leverage. Think about it. Network marketers leverage other people's time and effort. One person alone cannot bring in the 30,000 PV needed to earn a reasonable monthly commission, but 200 people may.

In a typical business, each employee contributes to the earnings of the business owner. They do this for their salaries, but the owner is the one who will see financial independence first. Affiliate marketers like me, leverage the power of the Internet. The Internet can be making thousands of presentations on my behalf in any given month, even when I am sleeping. I could never be in all those places at all those times to do those presentations personally. Not one can.

So then, whatever you choose to do, your business at home will grow faster, create more wealth, get you to retirement quicker, and help you accomplish more, if you grasp the concept of leverage and use it for all it is worth. Remember, leverage is the ability to multiply efforts, or the ability to multiply the effect of something, using other people's time or efforts, or using technology.
