Quixtar Review - Scam Or Lucrative Home Based Business Opportunity - Do IBO's Make Money?

By Susan Parker
Quixtar Review - History

Quixtar is a sister company to Amway and was launched in 1999 by the DeVos and VanAndel families under the umbrella of a bigger company named Alticor. Many may remember the names "Rich Devos" and "Jay Van Andel" from the 60's as they took the nation by storm, creating a very lucrative way for families to have a home based business and make money selling soap and other household products right out of their garages. Amway started as a direct selling and multi level marketing company and is still growing strong today. However, Quixtar as a home based business, is by no means any less attractive than her big sister.

Quixtar Review - Company Benefits

Through the lucrative compensation plan and time tested products, Quixtar has done millions of dollars in sales since they launched in 1999, and they are completely debt free. As an IBO (Independant Business Owner) through Quixtar, you are encouraged to not only build a database of loyal customers, but to also use the products for your own everyday needs by purchasing them from "your own store" online. As an IBO, you are provided with your own website and plenty of online training in the back office area to grow your home based business.

Quixtar Review - Compensation Plan

IBO's are compensated on a scale from 3 to 25% of the sales generated through their website each month, including the sites of any other IBO's who have joined Quixtar through them. In other words, if an IBO is willing to purchase all of their products through Quixtar, and then share the opportunity and commit to signing up several others who duplicate their efforts and will also purchase their products and sign up others, (etc. and so on) the compensation should add up nicely. Quixtar rules state that 70% of the product should be resold to the end consumer, however, most IBO's will use most of the products themselves. There are several other bonuses that kick in as you reach the higher pin levels if you are a dynamically focused IBO. However, the average IBO earns approximately $115 per month, according to the income disclaimer on their brochure.

Quixtar Review - Scam or Legitimate?

Quixtar isn't a scam, but it takes serious commitment and laser focus to grow a team large enough to quit your day job. Most Quixtar IBO's get plugged into a team where they can learn and develop their sales skills through hotel meetings, home meetings and 1 on 1 sales presentations, and "meeting after the meeting" business meetings. As a home based business, Quixtar leaves much to be desired as it is seems clearly to be as much as an "away from your home based business" as is your day job.

Quixtar Review - Prescription For Success:

If you don't mind trying to recruit family and friends, going out to nightly meetings, having product demonstrations, giving one on one presentations, and attending quarterly growth seminar retreats, then you may have found a good fit for a secondary business. Keep in mind it will take 2-5 years to make a significant income, but there are others who have made a great living with Quixtar, and you might have the tenacity and drive to be one of them, too.

Conclusion:

If the above paragraph sounds a little overwhelming and you don't enjoy constant selling and/or recruiting, or being out nights away from your family... If you can't see yourself building a huge downline organization of hundreds or even thousands, then you should continue to look for another type of home based business. As with any home based business, a good work ethic is important, and finding a mentor and a team who is willing to teach and train you is key. It always helps to have a product or service that is unique, as well.
