Start a Birthday Party Business!

By James L. Miller
Entertaining kids for fun and profit is easy. I can't impress upon you enough how simple it is to entertain children and make $50.00 to $150.00 an hour doing it. All you have to do is decide on what kind of business you want to start. Then you assemble a variety of equipment, supplies and materials needed for your concept. Then you bring all of this to the event, and the equipment, supplies and materials actually become the entertainment. You're not the entertainment - what you bring to the event is the entertainment. You're not performing for the kids, you're merely delivering the materials that provide the entertainment, and showing the kids how to entertain themselves! Plus, you're providing a huge convenience for the parents at a fair price. How about specializing in birthday parties. Here's just one of dozens of ideas for birthday parties.

PERFECT EXAMPLE! Let's say you decide to offer Craft Parties for children. You have shown a selection of crafts you can provide to the parents and birthday child in advance of the party. They have selected their favorites. Then on the day of the event, all you do is bring the craft supplies to the party, pass out all the supplies to the kids, show them a sample of the finished craft so they know what they are creating, then demonstrate how to make it. Then you just lend a hand as they make their craft. They actually entertain themselves with the materials you have brought them! It's the easiest, most fun business in the world. The kids have a ball and go home with a hand crafted treasure. You have a ball and go home with a warm feeling in your heart and from $75.00 to $150.00 in your pocket! For an hour of your time! And you can do three or four of these a day, if you wish.

IMPORTANT NOTE: As you can see, again... YOU ARE NOT THE ENTERTAINMENT. WHAT YOU BRING TO THE EVENT IS THE ENTERTAINMENT. You don't have to be any kind of entertainer at all. The supplies and equipment do all the real entertaining for you! You can apply this same concept to come up with all kinds of different ideas for parties and all other events for kid's entertainment.

Does this entertainment concept entertain kids? You bet! Do you need any special skills to provide this service? Certainly not. Anyone can do this, obviously. Is it profitable? Yes, this can easily make you $75.00 to $150.00 for an hour's worth of fun. What about start up costs? Less than $20.00, depending on the nature of the craft selected and how many kids are going to be at the party. Actually, you can start this business with zero dollars. You ask for half of your fee up front, (a non-refundable deposit) when you book the party. Then you buy the materials needed with the deposit you received from the customer. You have no out of pocket expenses except for advertising, in order to get that first party .

This is just one of dozens and dozens of entertainment concepts that you can provide without having any special skills. Plus, they can all be as profitable, easy and fun as this one.
