How To Become Successful Online Whether You Have A Budget Or Just A Shoestring

Just like any business you will either have money to start it and run it or you will have a shoestring (i.e very small budget). If you have some money you can put it into a budget and plan your advertising and your product development. This is the quickest way to get your business up and running but not a lot of people have that ability.

However I want to talk about getting your business up and running if you have a shoestring budget. First thing to realize is that it IS possible and that you can make it without lots of money.

The first thing you have to realize is any money you make from your efforts must immediately be put back into your business. Either in the form of product development or advertising. Do not take it out and have a night on the town, all that does is push you back to square one, which is where you are trying to get out of.

Since you wont have any large amount of money for product creation or advertising you will need to use free methods. Although they will not cost you any money you will need to spend more time on them than you would using a paid method. BUT if you take any money you make and turn it into a paid method then you will free up more of your time and you will not burn out from working too hard all the time.

So here are some basic things to keep in mind for your business. Such as what kind of online business do you want to have? Create your own product or are you going to be an affiliate, someone who promotes other peoples products and takes a cut of the money. If you are just starting out the best thing to do is to be an affiliate.

Now, even though you don't need your own product you need your own website. It's best to have a web site and hosting that you pay for. This will eliminate pointless ads and pop ups, however you can use a free site on free hosting. It's a big trade off though and one the first things you should get is dedicated hosting and a domain name. But if you still can't pay for the hosting you can go the free route, just realize you are paying for it with advertising and pop ups that you can't control.

Now you will need an autorepsonder to put on your site. Just like hosting there are free options and paid options, the free options also have advertising and usually limit the amount of people you put on your list. This is another one that you may want to consider paying for to gain easier access and granting yourself less limits.

All that's left is people, or traffic. The free methods work as well if not better than the paid methods, however, when you use free methods it takes longer and it slow to see results even though it works longer. If you have a budget you can use paid advertising methods to get more instant results, but that doesn't guarantee sales or money in your pocket. It will just people to your site faster.

Regardless of the route you choose to take remember that it is a business and you need to continue to work at it to get regular results.
